The Global Youth Philanthropy Network is bringing together youth philanthropists and change-makers from around the world to connect, learn, and give.

During this 2-hour virtual session, participants will:

  • Learn about youth philanthropy around the world
  • Share their work
  • Hear about tying youth philanthropy to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • Participate in the world’s first GLOBAL YOUTH GIVING CIRCLE… that we know of anyways 🙂

As part of this giving circle experience, participants will choose which focus area they are most interested in: Economic Security, Education, Environment, Food/Water, or Health. They will then gather with a small group to decide which NGOs/Nonprofits should receive a pooled gift. Funding is provided by generous donors. Participants have the opportunity (but are not required) to give.

Young people are our future and youth should be part of the decision-making process on how funding should best be spent to tackle youth issues. We’re excited to bring together youth philanthropists and change-makers from around the world for this unique event!

What is a “youth philanthropist”?

“Youth” can mean many different things around the world. For the purpose of this event, “youth” means that you consider yourself a young person and you want to participate in making history!

“Philanthropy” literally means “loving humankind”. It comes from two Greek words: philos (which means loving) and anthropos (which means humanity). Philanthropy is all about giving… but not just money! Philanthropy can also mean giving your time, talent, and testimony toward making the world a better place and/or helping others in your community.

If you consider yourself a young person who loves to give, you are a youth philanthropist!
