On 30th September 2021 from 10 am – 12 pm, CivSource together with East African partners will hold an East Africa-wide Gathering of Givers to bring together givers in the region to recognise and celebrate the power of local giving. CivSource Africa is partnering with African Philanthropy Network and Foundation for Civil Society in Tanzania, and the East African Philanthropy Network in Kenya to stage the event.
The Gathering is crossing the border to Kenya and Tanzania under the theme; Big, Bold and Brave – Growing a Philanthropy Movement. We want to tell stories and showcase initiatives and practices of local giving which embody those three elements. In the process, our desire is to inspire ‘bigness’, boldness and bravery within givers to change their community, nation, region and eventually, this continent.
