Key findings from “Environmental Funding by European Foundations vol. 5”
In parallel with the launching of the 5th edition of Environmental Funding by European Foundations, the EFC’s European Environmental Funders Group (EEFG) would like to invite you to a webinar to present and discuss the key findings.
This report is the most comprehensive study to date into support for environmental initiatives provided by European philanthropic foundations. Its long-term goal is to establish as detailed a picture as possible of the state of European foundation funding for environmental issues, with a view to raising the profile of environmental funders, building understanding of the sector, improving coordination, and providing analysis that informs discussions on the effectiveness of environmental grant making. In this latest edition (based on the 2018 financial year), more than 5000 grants from 127 European public-benefit foundations were analysed, and together, these grants amounted to a total of almost €750 million, and projects in 146 countries.
Delphine Moralis, Chief Executive of the EFC, will introduce this landmark study in the context of the current EFC and EEFG work and after that, Jon Cracknell from The Hour Is Late, will present the main findings from the research. Due to the dynamic organisation of the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to interact with each other, discuss and raise questions through several breakout rooms sessions.
Join us and discover which thematic issues receive the most foundation funding, and which parts of the world are best supported.
