Join Us for an Insightful Webinar: Exploring African Giving Practices.

The “World Giving Library” (WGL) project seeks to house the most comprehensive web resource on generosity practices, recognising generosity’s full richness and diversity across time and space. Giving Tuesday has launched a pilot project in collaboration with Trust Africa with 20 articles centred on African perspectives of giving narratives, practices and traditions that would feed into the World Giving Library.

About the Webinar:

During this engaging webinar, we’ll introduce the World Giving Library Project and discuss its significance within the philanthropy ecosystem. We aim to deepen the understanding of African generosity narratives and their global impact.

Discussion Highlights:

  1. Overview of the World Giving Library: Learn about the goals and reach of this ambitious project.
  2. GivingTuesday and TrustAfrica Collaboration: Discover what we’ve achieved together and how this partnership highlights African perspectives on generosity.
  3. Exploring African Contributions: Hear from contributors about the diverse practices across the continent and how these challenge and enrich global views on philanthropy.
  4. Building Relationships and Beyond: Discuss how this project fosters connections across different groups and the potential future impacts of our findings.

This webinar is an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of how African knowledge and practices can contribute to a richer, more inclusive understanding of philanthropy worldwide.
