African Women’s full and meaningful participation at all levels of leadership is critical to achieving sustainable, just, and inclusive development outcomes on the continent.

In this installment of our Conversation Series, we explore the status, context, and key issues around women’s leadership in Africa through the accumulated personal and professional experiences of our panelists. Co-Impact has invited two social change leaders, who will provide expert perspectives and advice on dismantling systemic barriers to realize inclusive and meaningful participation of African women in all sectors and levels of decision making.

Co-Impact’s Director of Programs in Africa, Mary Wandia, will host the session in conversation with Everjoice Win – Executive Director at the Shine Campaign; and Shamillah Wilson – Coach, activist, and social entrepreneur.

Co-Impact’s Conversation Series webinars enable cross-learning opportunities and foster community and engagement. Discussions will focus on efforts aiming to transform systems, institutions, and societies, and advance gender equality and women’s leadership.

We aim to explore the work that is happening in different spaces, unpack challenges and opportunities for progress, and share our learning journey.
