Join us for United Philanthropy Forum’s 2023 Conference!
From July 17-19, 2023, join us in New York City for our annual conference that sparks and strengthens new PSO connections and partnerships, shares and explores new ideas for our field, and builds our personal skills as effective PSO leaders.
#ForumCon23 is the ONLY conference where you can connect with your Forum colleagues to explore your unique roles as PSOs to advance, inform, convene, mobilize and support the philanthropic sector. You’ll be inspired by a roster of engaging keynote speakers; participate in skill-building sessions in key functional areas for PSOs; have plenty of structured and informal time to network; creatively collaborate and build community with your peers; and have several opportunities to explore NYC.
The Forum network has continued to grow in size and scope over the past few years, and our annual conference has become an increasingly vital event for celebrating the power of philanthropy. At the conference, the work of the Forum and our members will take center stage with the ways we help create vibrant, equitable communities with public policy, PSO practice, and racial equity at the center.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the role of PSOs to mobilize the power of our network to influence change and build a more courageous philanthropic sector.

We will be livestreaming our four plenary sessions and providing a daily opportunity for virtual attendees to debrief and connect with each other. Concurrent sessions will not be available virtually. Virtual registration is $225 through July 7 and increases to $275 after July 7.
Scholarship Opportunities
This year, the Forum will be offering two types of scholarship opportunities to attend the 2023 Forum Annual Conference. Scholarships will cover the recipient’s registration fee and 2-3 nights at the host hotel, depending on the recipient’s location. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for meals outside of the conference, transportation, and incidental expenses. Recipients are also required to attend the Emerging Practitioners Peer Community session at the conference.
To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must:
- Work for a Forum member, or in select cases, work for a Forum member’s member.
- Have worked in philanthropy for less than five years.
- Have the endorsement of their CEO/chief executive to attend the conference.
- Demonstrate financial need and leadership activities in the philanthropic sector.
- Be willing to serve as a conference ambassador by creating a blog post after the conference to share highlights of their experience and key takeaways. We also ask you to actively participate in sessions, and engage with other attendees in-person, via the conference app, and/or social media.
Applications must be submitted no later than May 12, 2023. We hope to have a diverse pool of applicants to select from. Preference will be given to those who have not received a scholarship in the past. All candidates will be notified by May 19, 2023.
